One wireles and one wired will probably feel the same as both wired to the modem. Unless the modem has wireless built-in, you will need to get a wireless router(the best way to go).

That wireless card seems to be a fairly generic brand of cards. If you don't have a CD for the drivers, try here: http://www.helpdrivers.com/ingles/listado/dow.asp?codigo=80877
As for the modem, does it have the little black antenna and what is the model? If it doesn't, then you would need to get a wireless router.

That is the model number and is a wireless modem: install guide- http://kbserver.netgear.com/inquira/default.asp?question_box=cg814wg+v2&collections=kb_file%2Cdatasheets&ui_mode=question&collection_restriction=docs&x=65&y=15
For the card driver, you download it to your PC in some place that will be easy to find later/power off the PC/open case/may need to remove card slot cover in the case/plug the card into an open PCI slot(white ones)/after powering back up,Windows should say "found new hardware"/should say to load drives/you will need to select the browse option and point to where you downloaded the driver file.
