I'm running Kubuntu 7.04 on an older Micron P3 machine. Wanted to give Hibernate a try but now the machine won't come out of it. I can see the machine is running and the CD drives open an close OK, it's just stuck in sleep mode on the monitor. Can't even get into setup and the BIOS to reinstall if necessary. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

Have you tried shutting off the computer with the switch on the psu? or just unplugging it from the wall? Not the best way to get out of hibernation, but will give you a chance to get back into the os and research the problem.

The power supply........... alot of power supplies have an on/off switch built into them... but if unplugging the computer didn't work, then that switch wouldn't either... sorry I couldn't be of more help.
