what are your system specs?

Is this a self built or a name-brand computer? Is it a new build, or is it an old computer with a new problem.

Doesn't sound like a monitor issue, it sounds like your computer is freezing. Like Shadowpr said, we'll need the full system specs including the make and rating of the powersupply if it's a self-built machine.

An AOpen PSU is a quality unit, but 275 watts is under minimums for a Ti4200.

The problem is most likely the PSU or the video card itself. Check the fan on the video card for proper operation and blow the dust out of everything.
