keyboard malfunction

any idea why my keyboard only works in bios but not afterwards . the light glow on but cn't type **** and panel keeps sayin everythin works fine. i'm stuck usin virtual keyboard. what to do i dont want to format

is it a usb keyboard? did windows recognize it when you plugged it in? did you instal the drivers?

did you go to the manufacturers site and get the latest drivers?

what keyboard, and what os are you using?

no actually it all started when i did automated recovery

try changing usb ports first.

if that doesn't work, go into control panel, system, device manager and look to see if there is anything not recognized.

check to see that under keyboards it shows soemthing. right click it and see if it's working properly.
