Using Asus M2N-E SLI AM2, would there be much difference with 2gig DDR2 800 (6400) and increasing to 4 gig?? using AMD 64X2 3mhz. 6000 processor

You'll only see the benefit if you're using a 64 bit OS. If you're using normal XP or Win2k then the most you'll see is either 3gb or 3.5gb of the ram installed. But yes, doubling your ram will show some gain in performance all around.

It really depends on your usage. If you are maxing out the 2 gigs of RAM then yeah, you'll see some benefits. But if you rarely use all 2 gigs you won't see any benefit if you'll never use the additional RAM.
