Installing second HDD?

Where's a good set of instructions for installing a second or slave HDD into WinXP Pro? Never done it before and don't have a clue. Thanks.

What kind of hard drive are you going to be installing? IDE or SATA?

What kind of hard drive do you have in your computer now? IDE or SATA?

What kind of computer do you have? Home built or name brand?

Sorry, it's an older Compaq Presario 5000. I currently have a 20 gig IDE hdd with WinXP Pro SP2. The second drive I want to install is a 13 gig IDE drive as well. There's a connector and slot for a second drive already, so it's just a matter of installing it. Don't know what to do as far as configuring it in the BIOS though. Thanks.

It should take care of itself in the bios as long as both drives are jumpered correctly. You will need to partition and format it in Windows Disk Management.
