Hello.
I have a Princeton LCD19D monitor (connected via DVI ports). Have had it for about 3 years, and it has always worked fine. Two days ago, the screen went black. It looks like it does when power saver turns off the monitor, with one peculiar exception. The power light stayed green (usually it is orange if the monitor is hibernating or such). Moving the mouse did not bring it back. And trying to turn it off via the power button did not accomplish anything; it did not turn off. That little light just stayed green, mocking me. :D
I readjusted the video card, which did not help. if I physically unplug the monitor, and plug it back in it works fine... for about 30 seconds. Then its back to the black screen and the mocking green power light. So I plugged in an analog monitor, which worked just fine. I wanted to plug in my monitor to another computer, but my girlfriend's comp doesnt have a dvi port, so I haven't tested it on another machine, nor do I know where I would do that.
I guess the question is... is it a monitor that has decided to die? or is the DVI port failing?
or is it something else?
Thanks.

You've pretty much answered your own question.
Impose on a pal with a dvi port and you'll know.
