I was just wondering if someone could help me out - I have a pair of Logitech Z-2300 speakers and am curious as to whether I could use those for my television. Is there something that I have to buy in order to do that? What do I need to do? Many thanks.

Last thing i remembered was to use my speakers I had to buy a 3.5mm adapter that split into two and then fed that into the back of my video players speaker ports. That worked fine with my current 2.1 setup, and it worked fine with a 5.1 surround sound setup.

Thats what you may need
Or if you have a headphone port you may need one of these

Basically just look on the back and if there is 1 white and 1 red connection then you'll possibly need the 3.5mm to the x2 3.5mm jack. If that makes sense.

That TV has dual RCA line outputs and a SPDIF - I do not know how well it will work plugging the speakers directly into the line outs. It's really designed for feeding an amplifier.

Plus you'll have to read the manual for the tv.
Some tv audio outputs are only outputting the built-in tuner's sound. So if you have a cable/satellite box, it won't pass through the sound. You're supposed to output their sound directly to prepros or receivers.

The Z-2300 are self-powered so the line out is what you want to use.
