Hi,

I'm trying to delete old ebooks and such, but many of them give me the message "Cannot delete ... it is in use by another person or program." That is not true, these files haven't been used in months or years. Is there any way to clear that up and delete them?

Thanks,

Chris

Take a look at this link:

I have also found that sometimes files are somehow linked to something running behind the scenes (Task Manager --> Processes). If you are able to locate which process it is and shut it down (only if it is safe to do) a file like this can be deleted.

Usually when I have trouble deleting files, I boot into safe mode and try there.
