Hi,
I just got all my components today and this is my first build.

When I power on I get one long continuos beep and it doesn't stop. Also, nothing on the monitor.

I've removed the mobo and set up the psu, ram and video card. I short circuit the power switch and I get the same thing so it appears that's it's a faulty component or am I wrong? I've substituted the ram and i get the same thing but I don't have an extra psu or video card to test them.

Any help is appreciated.

What are the complete system specs for this build? Please list all the parts by brand and model including the power supply.

Well, it might be DRAM error. That is what my Mother Manual read.

DO not all mother beep indications are uniform?

DO not all mother beep indications are uniform?Nope. Depends on who made the BIOS. Look here. (http://www.pcmech.com/article/beep-codes/)

It's nice that you want to help others, but if you don't know the answer it's better to not post anything rather than guess at the answer. You do more harm than good if you post incorrect information.
