I recently got an LCD for my system. It has both a DVI and VGA input, and my vid card has matching outputs. If I buy a DVI cable, will I notice any difference in anything? My machine is mainly used for gaming.

You might notice a little improved visual quality. Use DVI if you can.

I would definetely use a DVI cable with an LCD monitor. LCD displays are digital. DVI is digital. VGA is not digital. When you connect an LCD monitor using VGA the video signal must be converted in the video card to analog, sent through the cable in analog form, and converted back to digital in the monitor. Depending on how good the A/D conversion in your monitor is, the results can range from very good to slightly blurry. DVI keeps it digital all the way through and the pixels are mapped 1:1.

Here is a cable that would work great:

DVI Male Digital/DVI Male Digital Dual Link 28AWG Cable - 6FT (Gold Plated/Black) (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10209&cs_id=1020902&p_id=2408&seq=1&format=2)

If you were to go to your local Best Buy (or similar) you would pay probably $30 or more.
