PXE-E61: Media Test failure check Cable

Dear All,
I have this error code on my ACER laptop 80GB HDD and 2.5GHz processor carrying 512MB SoDIMM RAM: PXE-E61: Media Test failure check Cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting Boot Agent
This occurred after the laptop fell on the ground. But I've done al the necssary boot sequnce changes, disabling network and so on. I have removed the HDD and it shows the same code.
I assume the HDD is bad isnt it?

If it fell on the ground when it was turned on, I'd bet that the hard drive crashed.
