I got my new PC up and running but I have a ANTEC 900 BLACK ATX TOWER and can not find a speaker for posting beeps. Don't get me wrong the build is up and running great, it's just i would like to have them audible in case of problems. There was a plug for a speaker on the front that had hd snd on it along with one that said AC'97 and I plugged it into the sound plug on the motherboard and am gettingh ngood sound from it.

You won't get the POST beeps from the audio jacks on the motherboard. If your mother board has a connection for the POST beeps, it will be in the same header as the case power/reset switches and would be marked SPKR/SPEAKER. Some boards have the speaker built-in to the board.

Yes it is located on the header as you pointed out, but what do you plug onto it as I saw no plug marked to go to it.

Since some cases don't come with speakers anymore some motherboards come a small piezo speaker that you plug into the SPKR header. If yours didn't come with one then you'll have to buy a case speaker from a computer shop. They're usually only a couple of bucks.
