My HP PSC2355 printer has the following error message at times...
"Memory Trashed?"
If I restart it it goes away, but can someone tell me what it means??? I cannot find anything online.

Does it only happen when you print certain files or certain type of file?

Oh sorry, I wasn't even printing anything... I just came home from work and the message was there...
It appears when not printing anything at all...

Never heard of that one... have you tried removing and reinstalling the drivers and software according to HP recommendations?

I didn't do that yet. If I remember correctly, it did the same thng on my old XP system, and now my Vista. Not all the time, just every now and again.

The printer may have defective internal memory.

Is that something that could be changed by myself?
The printer may have defective internal memory.
Probably not, it's probably integrated on the logic board.

Hi,
Have HP 7410 OfficeJet. Getting same error, printer will occasionally turn itself on and display "assert" "Memory Trashed" message.
Did you get any suggestions/fixes other than what I can see posted?
HP has been of no help. They do not have, or are willing to provide any support on my issue.
Any feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks
