I have a Dell Dimension 4100 running Win ME and dsl connection via Pac Bell. I loaded Norton 2002 on it a few weeks ago and it appears to be working hard screening virus'.
I haven't had any problems with my system for the last six months or so (where's that wood for me to knock on) until the last few days when I've had a problem with my Connection Profile disappearing. I thought it was my ISP down, but the tech there confirmed it was still up and had me redo my connection profile. Every time I shut down now, I have to reboot my modem and delete the old profile and create a new one ...otherwise I get an error message not finding a connection.
I'm worried it's not going to let me connect at all eventually. HELP..any of you gurus have any idea what's going on??? Thanks!
