Make sure you take it out of the case for that.

Could we have some more details please ?
Do fans spin, do you get bios beeps ?
Any LEDs turn on ?
Does everything seem to be working except video or does nothing at all happen when you hit the power switch?

I've tried that method and it didn't work.If you pulled the motherboard from the case and assembled only the core components and the system still didn't fire up, then one of the core components may be DOA. I'd suspect the power supply first.

Found out the problem later during the day (didn't get a chance to see the other responses). It was the power supply. I got a new and different one, and now it works perfectly. Anyways, thx Cricket (even though I didn't see your post until now, and after all, you got where the problem was). Solved :).
