If Asus mobo specs for RAM say the Kingston KVR667D2N5/1G is compatible would the RAM with the number KVR667D2N5K2/2G but for 2 Gigs be compatible?

It's for the mobo below.

Man, have RAM prices gone waaaaaay down. :eek: :D

I would stick with Corsair RAM...Kingston has been having quality control issues for the past several years and their memory is less reliable than Corsair memory. I the last year I must have RMA'd at least 12 sticks of Kingston RAM because they went bad.

Your not kidding, I'm in the proces of ordering parts for my inlaws machine today.. I picked up Corsair XMS 2gb (2x1) with CL 5 for $73.00. When I purchased my same thing bug CL 3 it cost me almost $200

If DDR2-667 is fast enough for your system, it's DIRT cheap - a 2 gig Corsair kit is what - 42 bucks?
