Intel boards with nVidia chipset

Hi there,

Are those Intel boards with nVidia 7050 chipset okay? Or are they another versions of inconsistent Via chipset (P4M800/890/900) series? :)

Not to sure, I here the best way to go with a intel board is with a intel chipset.. The P35 chipsets are suppose to be very good..

I would go with an Intel chipset....

The P35 is a very good chipset and overclocks very well.....

the 7050 is an onboard video chipset as well an is ok...

being an AMD and nVidia person for years I would opt for the P35...as I have had one of those too...;)

I see. :) But the 7050's chipset has certainly better graphics than those of the Intel's Extreme Graphics? :rolleyes:

You are correct. I've had experience with the 7025 onboard video and it isn't bad. It's noting to game with, but it will get the job done, and would prob run Vista alright.

I won't use anything but an Intel chipset for Intel processors, but if you must use an alternative, Nvidia is better than the others.

The Intel 3000 series onboard video is actually pretty good. There really isn't an onboard chipset from anyone that's very gameworthy.

I have a new favorite "budget" board for Intel - the Asus P5KPL-VM. It supports 1333 FSB processors and has the "old" ICH7, which means native IDE support.

That's my fave budget board too - P5KPL-VM. My best friend has it and he's really satisfied with it so much! I also recommended the others with the same board. :)
