No WiFi On Laptop

I have a Compaq Presario 2570us I lost the ability to connect to the net with Wifi. The computer has a button to push to enable the wifi feature but it does not light up. The plug in line connection connection works fine and connects to internet and lan. Went to devise manager and found network driver with yellow question mark. I removed the driver and rebooted. XP recognized hardware but could not install new driver. Is there anything else I could try or is it a hardware issue? I have a Linksys card bus wifi card from my other laptop, I tried to install it to my compaq as a quickfix but could not configure and get it to work.


Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!

Reinstall the driver for the Wireless. You probably will have to go to Compaq's, HPs now, site and get the driver if you don't have any of the CDs.

I installed the driver with no problems but same problem. Think it's hardware?
