hey I'm 16 and am new to building computers, I want to build a cheap computer incase it doesn’t work, but I also want in to be fairly good if it works :) it will be used for school, video editing and some light gaming. My budget is around $700 (saving some money would be nice though)
(I already have a monitor, keyboard, ect)

Looks ok to me, just a few suggestions.

Swap your optical drives for SATA versions. IDE is old tech at this point. Also, be sure to get a DVD Burner with software. Its just another expense otherwise. We recommend LiteOn Retail drives, they come with Nero.

I'd look at a different video card. The 8400GS is very weak, even for light gaming. Take a look at the Geforce 7600GT. Very good bang for the buck. If that stretches the budget too much, look at a motherboard with onboard video and upgrade later.

I highly recommend the 8500GT video card over the 8400GS. Great choice of power supply, motherboard, hard drive and Sony optical drive.
In the past I have had a several AMPO memory fail or be DOA. They are priced well but you are better off with Kingston, Corsair or Crucial.

Okay so I built the computer and it works:) that is, everything but the sound. I've tried 2 different speakers and nothing happens. should I just buy a sound card?
