View Full Version : Best option for HDTV LCD Monitor?

I am trying desperately to find a budget (Preferably south of $300) HDTV that can let me play my Xbox 360 in glorious High Definition, as well as serve as a LCD monitor for the laptop I will purchase for college soon.

A integrated digital tuner would be nice, as I do not have HD through cable or satellite.

Right now I am stuck between this HDTV set:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7811111

And trying to jury-rig this monitor with a box that would let me play my 360:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254001

Is there a decent priced external box that can receive digital broadcasts over the air and let me connect my 360 in HD?

Furthermore, even thought that HDTV from walmart looks a little............cheap........

Would it be the best option because it is all together?

My 360 is a model without HDMI, so that TV's lack of HDMI is not a deal-breaker for me.

Any help and tips would be appreciated.

Peace.

I closed your other thread on this subject since this is the more appropriate forum. Please try not to crosspost in the future. Thanks. :)

You got it. I only noticed this more appropriate area after I posted.

:o

I'll be more careful in the future.

Now, can anyone help me with my predicament?

Small LCD TVs are around $400

I'd be dubious of any LCD TV as a monitor.
Do you have any stores in your area where you can actually see one used as a monitor ?
