48 bit LBA issues

I have 3 HD's in my system now, the original 2 were 1 SATA 80g and 1 IDE 80g. Today I installed a 320g SATA and plan on moving all the files from the 80g IDE drive onto it. It's hooked up correctly and is powering on, I can actually see the HD in the device manager but I can't see it under My Computer. The drive did not come with any software so I downloaded a setup program from the WD website.

When I run the Western Digital setup disk on boot I am told than I need to enabled 48 bit LBA to use more than 137gb of the drive. I have the latest service pack for XP home, just updated my BIOS, and followed these steps here (http://www.48bitlba.com/enablebiglba.htm) to enable 48 bit LBA. Yet, when I run the WD setup disk on boot, it still wont let me setup the drive without limiting it to 137gb. Any ideas?

if you're using XP Home with the latest service packs the registry tweak is not needed to enable 48 bit LBA. right click on my computer-->manage-->disk management, your new hdd will show up there and it will allow you to initialize, partition and format your new hdd. See if it allows you to create a partition >137GB there. If not its a bios limitation.
