I'm in the process of putting all my CD's albums on my Vista media center PC.

When converting CD's over to media center most are getting the information and the album cover art ok from the internet.

A few though are not showing their covers.

I'd like to scan the covers that are not there but whilst I can find the converted music and folders, I can't find where the cover art is and where it goes.

Any ideas?

TIA.

What software are you using to organize your collection and view the cover art?

Sorry for not making it clear, I'm using Windows Vista Media Center.

I have hundreds of CD's in my living room and would prefer to put them onto my living room PC so I can rid of the clutter.

Naw, I'm sorry... I didn't read very closely...

I dunno a lot about Media Center, but I like MediaMonkey to add album art through amazon's database. If that doesn't work, you can drag and drop the image file into the artwork box in the program's interface and it will add it.

The artwork is typically added to the MP3 file's tag info, but I think you can just link to it as well. For Media Center, I found somewhere the following:
Put the image in the folder for the album, rename it to folder.jpg and you're done. Make the file hidden for media center.

The album art is stored in the mp3 folder itself. You need to enable Hidden files view as well as UNHiding protected system files to be able to see it. What I did was (I'm using WMP Library and my XBox 360 as an extender) to store the album art as folder.jpg in the folder .. WMP then creates a file called AlbumArtSmall.jpg automatically as well.
