Hello All,
Nav is giving me the following error [3038,107]. Nav has encounted an internal program error.
I went to their site and tried the two fixes that are available. Neither worked. The error comes up when I use the anti viris scan. It gets to around 4500 and 4900 files scaned and then no more files are being scanned. It doesnt freeze. Then the notice comes up.
The day before this happened I installed software for Lexmark wireless printer and Dlink router. Also, Vista has listed 9 new important security downloads. I downloaded 3.
My first thaught is that it is a compatability issue but know I think it might be the Vista updates.

If anyone can shed some light on this or a solution, I would appreciate it.
Thanks

After a Google search, this looks like a somewhat common issue as of late.

Have you unchecked the “scan within compressed files” option? That is the solution I found on the Symantec website.

Outside of the above, I couldn’t find a concrete fix to this issue. Maybe Symantec will issue one through a future update. One solution I found in a forum was to disable scanning of active programs and startup files. You could give that a try, but it leaves a nice hole in your protection. My advice is to dump NAV and go with AVG.
