hi. i was just chatting in a room when someone asked me to look at their new web site.
i wasnt looking because the web asked me to logon with my hot mail account so
it looked safe.. actually it is safe its the (link removed by moderator)
but i did even read what it is. i just logged in.. and i didnt read anything or see the sender
web so i closed it down.. after a few minutes i tried to enter my hot mail but
the password was changed !!! i dont know i still cant get it.. haw did that person steal
my mail? or he didnt? am i hallucinating here?

I think it's called phishing. Someone dangles a somewhat legitimate-looking website name (look how newsites is split with a period) out there to get a victim. The site then asks for personal info (account #s, passwords, etc.) and then they swipe the stuff for whatever purpose... Maybe you can contact hotmail somehow to see what recourse you have.

id325..Does this mean you have more than one user account? Please reread the forum rules paying particular attention to rule number 8.
Account Accountability

A user account is to be used by one person only. This does not mean "one person at a time". A user account being used by more than one person may be terminated.
Each person is limited to one user account. If a user is found creating multiple accounts, those user accounts may be terminated.

That is exactly what it is. It was an attempt to get you to login to a bogus messenger site. The html code of that site probably contains malicious code that would be downloaded to your computer in an attempt to use your computer as a spam relay, or an attempt to use a data miner in your machine in order to steal personal information about you.

I Googled that website originally, and no, it doesn't seem to be legit.

Do you have anti-virus software installed? Run a complete system scan to make sure nothing has been planted.

i have avg and windows defender .. ill make a scan but i will format tomorrow anyway ..
