What program it should open with.

Hello
I'm running Vista with Office 2007 and all of a sudden I am getting a prompt when clicking on a link in my e-mail to ask what program to open it with (firefox usually). I use Firefox as my primary browser. This has been quite annoying as you can imagine.

Thanks and Happy Holidays :)

Try Control Panel->Default Program option.

Thanks but that is not the answer. Firefox is already the default. At least I don't think that is the answer.

It seems firefox and Internet explorer 7 are not the default programs. Where else can I change FF to default?? and what other program is listed as default? :confused:

Thanks

When you do the "select program" link, are you placing a check mark in the Always use box?

Yes. the check mark is there. Confused why both browsers are not the default however. Should be one or the other correct??

Ok I got IE7 to be the default browser but can you tell me a couple of ways I can go about making FireFox the default. When opening FF I have it check to see if it is the default browser, and when I make it the default it reverts back to NOT being the default. I hope this makes sense and
Thank you:)

Edit:

Update ~ I reinstalled FireFox and everything is working well now. Have a Happy New Year and be safe
