email problem

Apparently, vista keeps a history of who you send email to. For example, I have exactly one entry for someone in Contacts but have sent them email to several of their accounts. When I enter their name in the To field, I get a drop down box of 5 choices.... One for each of their now invalid accounts.

How do I remove all this extraneous information? And how do I turn off this annoying "feature"?

I'd guess it's more likely the Auto Complete feature of IE rather than anything to do with Vista. Click on Tools>Internet Options>Content tab and change your Auto Complete settings. See if that is what you're looking for TR.

Nothing related there, PR. I'm sure it's a "Mail" problem as Outlook Express in XP doesn't behave in this fashion: you remove a Contact there and it doesn't show up in the auto complete choices.

It turns out to be a simple fix: just down arrow to the wrong address(es) and hit the delete key.
