Hi all. I'm considering getting a laptop with Vista installed.

I have a copy of MS Office 2000, which I want to use on this machine, and am trying to find out if it's compatible. I looked at a list online somewhere, and it said 'Office 2000 SP3' - but I have no idea what the SP3 is and if I have that or not!

Any advice appreciated, thanks.

I think 2000 and above are suppose to work on Vista.

SP3 = the third service pack

Thanks, I guess I'll just have to hope - I don't know how I check what service pack I have on my Office install.

An unrelated question... does Vista come with any DVD burning software, or will I need to get hold of something like Nero?

If the laptop comes with a DVD burner then there should be DVD burning software already on the laptop.
