I have an external HD for my backup purposes, but find I don't use it as often as I should, mainly because of my lack of understanding on the "ease" of doing so!
In the old days, I remember if I chose to download a folder of items, a window would come up asking if I wanted to "overwrite" files I already had downloaded, but these days that doesn't seem to happen.
With that said, how does one back up files/drives/folders that have previously been backed up, but have been added to, and only those files that are in addition to what is already there should be upgraded with this new information. Nothing is asked about "overwriting" so it's a little vague as to how the process works!
I wondered if perhaps there is a simple program which could back up programs every now and then for me, and if say I didn't have the external HD on, would perhaps tell me to do so, as a "backup" is due...or something similar? Perhaps something could come up every couple of months to jog the memory that a backup is due?
At any rate, if there is help out there on this subject, I'd appreciate any advice/comments.
Thanks..
