I just built a new system. It it using: q6600 2.4, 4gb ddr2 (2x2gb), 8800gts 640, and an evga nforce i680 mobo. I set it all up, and instantly tried to install vista 64bit. It gets through everything untill it has to restart. Then when it is starting up the operating system, the screen goes blue for a millisecond, and the computer restarts. I want to upgrade to 64bit because i cant utalise my 4gb of ram. Is there any settings i need to change to get this to work?

When you install Vista 64, do it with only 2 gigs mem installed... there is a MS hotfix to address the issue your having... once you get the 64bit installed, you can put in the other 2 gigs...
I read that in another forum... but can't find a link right now... goto MS or google for more details

Take out 2G and boot. Download the fix for 64 bit. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929777
I had the same problem and this fixed it.
