Anyone know of a good vooice recognition software deal to convert voice to text?

Dragon Naturally Speaking v9 is the best.
Make sure your PC is fast enough and meets all their specs for sysyem requirements.
If not, go to eBay and buy an older version.

Another vote for Dragon. If you leave close to a Costco, they currently (at least at my local store) have it for $50.

If buying an older version of Dragon Naturally Speaking, any version from version 7 on
up is recommended. They really got it right at version 7 but you have to speak clearly
and slowly for it to work right and you have to train it. The newer versions after 7
improved upon the speed and accuracy where you can speak at a more natural pace
and they don't require as much training. The down sideof the newer versions is that
you need a very fast computer with at least 1 GB of memory fo rit to perform efficiently.

Bottom line, match the software version with your hardware and
go with any version 7 on up.
