Hey guys

I have been encountering this problem for a while now. It takes me two to three boots to reboot my computer succcessfuly to see my Start Menu. It usually loads up to my wall paper, then reboots automatically. But when I do boot up successfully, it gives me two messages

Data Execution Prevention....
To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program
Name: LSA Shell (Export Version)
Publisher: Microsoft Corporation

and

Windows cannot find D:\Windows\help\svchost.exe blahblahlablah

What is the problem here? Is it a virus?

EDIT ADDITION: I just rebooted my computer again and now it says at the bottom right...it says something like this: Your computer has detected spyware. Click here for a free scan.

What kind of security software are you using? Do you keep the definitions up to date and do you scan often?

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode yet?

hey guys,

im using AVG Free Edition, Spyware search and destroy, webroot spysweeper.

AVG Detected a trojan on D:\Windows\system32\compstu.dll
Trojan Horse Generic9.APWD

i am going to press heal, and then restart my computer

what should i do?

oh and btw, i am able to get to my computer and use it normally, but whenever i open My Computer, AVG pops up with the Detection of that trojan. Also, when im booting up the computer, it gives me a BSOD about my nv4_disp.dll or whatever, about my video card.... This is strange because why would my video card have anything to do with the problem? I guess I am able to use my computer if I press Ctrl+Alt+del and then I can see the desktop and the error the computer gives me about the svchost.dll

Please help, thanks so much guys

Wow that link, i followed the Internet Options security to disable add-ons and it fixed everything. everytime i open My Computer or an Explorer window, the threat doesn't show up.

thank you so much
