Evening. I decided to switch over to a new case for a recently built system. Everything went swimmingly during the switch. All parts were placed on a cardboard work area to prevent static build-up. I was grounded at all times. Ran all cables and connections perfectly as well as cleared the mother board from its mounting plate.
Something has gone wrong. At the initial boot-up, I got an error about USB overcharge shutting down in 15 seconds--or something like that. I quickly realized what I possibly did, shut off the system, and fixed an error. Going blind, I accidentally orientate one of the USB connections from the case incorrectly on the MB. After removing the case USB connection, I am unable to get the computer to reliably boot. Either it hangs at the BIOS, or won't switch on at all. If it does switch on, I cannot get it to switch off. Is it possible I have fried the MB/Case with this error? Am I overlooking anything? Thanks for your help in advance
