Okay I just put my computer together and when I turned it on it made a weird beeping noise sort of like an alarm.

I tried it without monitor and ram sticks, could that be the issue?

Computers give beep codes when parts of the hardware are missing or have failed.

Check your motherboard manual for exactly what the beep codes mean. If the codes are correct for "no monitor or RAM detected," then you're golden.

Can you post full system specs, including PSU. As Parcae said, the error means something, once we have you motherboard model we can look up what it means.

CPU - Core 2 Duo e6750
MB - Gigabyte GA P35-DS3L (Supports cpu and ram)
PSU - OCZ GameXStream 600w
RAM - 2 GB Crucial Ballistix 1066
GPU - EVGA e-Geforce 8800 GT

Update:

I opened my case, made sure everything was plugged in and tried to turn it on again but now it doesn't make any noise, but doesn't turn on at all.

I will post another update tomorrow morning after I try something new that I just thought of, but thanks for your responses until then.

I have the same motherboard, and have had that problem twice. The first time it all went golden and then I woke up one morning to push the power button, have the fans flutter for a second and then quit. The second occasion (after getting a replacement mobo), same thing, went fine for a day and then quit again.

Okay guys I think I narrowed down the issue...

I believe it has to do with the ATX 12v Power connector that connects from the power supply to the motherboard just above the Heatsink and fan of the cpu.

The issue is... I don't see any plug labeled ATX 12v Power or anything similar to that that would fit there.... the only thing that could fit there is "Cpu1, Cpu2" I tried "Cpu1" already.

What do you guys think? Anyone with OCZ GameXStream 600w Power supply and Socket LGA 775 Gigabyte mobo know what I should hook up as the ATX 12v Power Connector (smaller one).

It should be one of those two 4pin square power connections. Try each one, I don't think it matters which. If nothing changes, try this: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=132409

And if you can see the wires, there should be two black and two yelllow wires.

Okay now my computer boots up with a long beep (kinda a screech) noise...

Worries me because the CPU Fan starts out slow, spinning every 2 seconds or so and then like 10 seconds after it starts going full speed.

All other fans work.... I don't know what could be the problem but I'll keep experimenting.

I believe the 8800GT makes that noise when it is not recieving enough power. Have you connected the 6-pin PCI-E plug to it?

No I didn't... omg is this the solution? I will try it and update you when I get home, I'm at school now.

Don't worry, it is very easy to forget the power plug, I've done it a few times.
The plug in the attached picture is a PCI-E power connector, so you know what too use. On the end of the card there will be a matching socket.

Thanks a lot it's fixed now! :)

I left it on for awhile to see how it would run, ran excellently. Lot of airflow, the case and all the parts were close to ice cold, but they were giving off some warmth so they were all working flawlessly.
