Doing a few upgrades

Hi, id like to know if there are any issues with this build. Im currently upgrading my mobo/graphics card/processor. I had a prebuilt computer that i ordered from alienware (big mistake right there) and Im not satisfied with the performance for the price I paid.

mainly LF any compatibility issues that may arise as I am completely clueless. Im just gonna have the parts "professionally installed" so Id like to be able to just buy the parts, bring em in, and pick it up.

Also lf suggestions on how I can possibly save money, maybe on a cheaper mobo that wont be much different in quality? This computer is gonna be built for gaming and I want to keep it up to date with all of the games out there atm. I also like to fraps (http://www.fraps.com) while i play video games, if that helps at all on your suggestions. thanks :)

What is the PSU you will be using? The PSU is the most important component in your PC, you need a good one. You should get an 8800GT instead, it is much faster than the GTS and over $100 less: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130318. You could also save money by doing it yourself, it is extremely easy once you know what you are doing and a job like that would only take about 15 mins.

I have a 750 watt psu that came with the alienware when i bought it. Would that be good enough....or?

750W should be enough for even two 8800 video cards, so no worries there. The one thing you may want to change, is the video card since it's the older/slower version of the GTS, the video card that you should replace it with is the 8800GTS 512MB edition which is a lot faster than the 320MB or 640MB 8800GTS and a decent amount faster than the 8800GT, but if you want to save a bit of money, the 8800GT also offers better performance than the 320MB or 640MB 8800GTS.

Looks like a nice upgrade. Only suggest I have is same as everyone else, pick one of the new G92 cards. The 8800 GT (512) for over $100 less will perform better than the card you picked and if you dont need to save money then go for the new 8800 GTS (512) which is still $10 less and performs at near 8800 GTX speeds.

Just a question, but what video card did the systeme have originally? And although I expect is is a decent brand, what brand is your PSU?

As for the Motherboard I am not sure you will find anything comperable much cheaper. It is hard to beat Asus guality. If you dont need wifi the basic P5K is a very nice card, the ones with all the features always go for for.

The PSU that i had originally came with my prebuilt Alienware computer, im not exactly sure if theres an exact brand to it but when i bought it said "ALienware 750w PSU." Right now i have a ATi x1900.

So this video card would be better?

Yes that card would be a better choice. That PSU will be fine, other sources state 60A on the +12V and it may be made by PC Power and Cooling.
