hi,
i have a laptop which i have outlook 2007 installed on, i get all my emails to it. and now we received a new laptop and i want to transfer my emails to the new one. But i have two issues with it:

1. With my current settings on the existing laptop, when an email arrives there i don't get it on the new one, so i'm assuming i have a setting somewhere that's pulling it off exchange permanently. anyway to change this, so the new laptop can get the new incoming emails as well?

2. Because of the issue in #1, is there anyway to move the existing emails to the new laptop? I have a few personal folders and my inbox that i would like to move over to the new one, should i just move everything from my inbox to a personal, can i then move those over?

Thanks.

Look in the Account settings on both machines for "leave mail on server."

Thanks for the response, odd thing is when i go into:
Tools -> Account Settings and select my current Account and goto More Settings, under Advanced I don't see that option, there or under any other tabs. Can you let me know where it is, maybe i'm missing it, i could have sworn i saw it before. Could it be it's not because i have Use Cache Exchange Mode enabled and now that the option is not there?

Thanks again.

I'm sure that support.microsoft.com will have your answer, also, you may be right about exchange. All I'm familiar with is pop accounts, and that should have the option.

You can try creating a new test account with the same settings to see if it's there when you make it, then you'd know for sure if it's a glitch.

Also, even if you figured out how to leave copies, anything you've already received you can either forward to yourself, or export/import them.
