I know you have had a few problems lately with viruses and malware, is it always when you are using your email accounts or email programs?
What email program are you using?

You need a good anti-virus, and do you have a firewall installed as well?

Gunny. You mentioned spyware protection but what about antivirus protection?
What operating system are you using?
Who or what is your ISP?

Considering the fact that you have been hit a few times recently, a thought just occured to me. A while back a friend of mine living in Paris France and using Wanadoo as his ISP was being hit by viruses almost constantly. After speaking with a few of his neighbours and finding out that they were having problems as well he assumed it was his ISP's servers that were infected, he emailed his ISP and the problem slowly went away.
Any chance that any of the other machines in your home are having the same attacks?
Can you speak to any of your neighbours who use the same ISP as you to see if they are having problems?

Ya I can check on that, I am friends with a few of them. But my wife has her computer and she is connected to the same provider as me, and she is not having any problems at all. Her computer is run through the same router/modem as mine, she is with Yahoo/ATT too.

Thanx.........Gunny

Sounds like Symantec is not doing its job.

G. beat me to this one. If you have the installation disk and your subscription code, maybe you could uninstall Symantec for a while and go with one of the freebies, see if it makes a difference.
What machine is this you are using? Any chance of doing a zero fill and reinstall incase you have something deep seated that only shows it's ugly mush now and again?
