DVD drive not detected

Hello everybody! Need your help on how to fix my problem in my roxio application as it can't detect my dvd drive, but my dvd drive is working and i can see it in my computer. Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem and I also use Roxio so there could be two problems here.

First, open WM Player. If it dosnt detect a drive, then most likely the burner isnt compatible with windows even though you can run stuff of it from my computer. If it does, you need to get a certain patch from roxio's website. Im not sure which one it is so you might need to contact them on that.

Actually, i had no problem before using roxio easy media creator 9 that included in my os windows vista in my sony vaio. I open wm player and the dvd rom drive works. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the roxio but still the problem occurs.
How about you, how do you fix your problem? tnx bro...
