I have a Zalman 9500 CPU cooler and I'm using the thermal paste that came with it, and I wondered if I could remove cooler and rotate 90 degrees without having to buy new thermal grease?
thanks

How long has that thermal grease been in use?

If that heatsink is fairly new then you can go ahead and reuse the thermal compound...just smooth it out before you reinstall the heatsink.

No problem, go ahead and reuse it.

But if you plan to build computers regularly you should get some thermal compound (like Arctic Silver 5).

Ok, I'll move it now. The fan is pointing down sucking hot air off my video card, I'm going to move it so the fan faces the front of the case. thanks.
