Can anyone suggest software, either free or not, that I can use to optimize the graphics I place on a web page? The ones I am using take too long to load, and I'm sure that these graphics could be reduced, maintaining the same size, but with less bytes.
At one time I knew of a site that would analyze an entire web page and would reduce the bytes in graphics, but I have lost the URL.
All comments and help are appreciated. Thanks,
Dick

Adobe ImageReady 2.0 (now up to 3.0) is the best I've used. Let's you compare up to 8 variations of a picture side by side. Usually comes bundled with Photoshop 5.5 and higher.

FREE: IrfanView (http://irfanview.tuwien.ac.at/english.htm).

Not so expensive very good graphics software:
-Ulead's PhotoImpact,
-Jasc's Paint Shop Pro,
-Micrografx's Picture Publisher7(or ver. 8), or you can get Webtricity 2- prolly for ~$50.
