Hi,
I know this problem with the "ACPI IRQ Holder For PCI IRQ Steering" errors is an old issue with an out of date OS but want to post my findings in case anyone out there might be interested.
I had 5 of the "ACPI IRQ Holder For PCI IRQ Steering" errors in Device Manager and eventually found that using Device Manager in Safe Mode to disable these entries cleared System Information of these problem devices.
Briefly, boot into Safe Mode and display the System components in Device Manager so you can see the ACPI IRQ Holder For PCI IRQ Steering entries.
Highlight the entries one at a time and click Properties.
At the bottom of the Properties screen uncheck the box for "Exists in all hardware profiles".
Check the box for "Disable in this hardware profile", click Ok and repeat this procedure for the other ACPI IRQ Holder For PCI IRQ Steering entries.
Do not click on anything else in these screens or you'll cancel your changes.
Close Device Manager, reboot back into normal mode and run System Info/Components/Problem Devices.
When rebooting, open the Bios to PNP/PCI CONFIGURATION and set "Reset Configuration Data" to ESCD.
My old W98SE with a Gigabyte MB (GA-5AX (Rev 5.2)ALi Aladdin V AGPset) now reads No Problem Devices on this Computer in Sys Info and has a pretty snappy responce for a 500 CPU.
There are a few more settings in Bios that I made but I need to know if just disabling these Device Manager entries is all that's needed on other computers before I post those changes.
