To my lasting regret I didn't order one in the "get one, give one" campaign but one of my neighbors did.
It took him long enough to get it but it arrived ( Yes it was a green one. ) and I finally got to try it out for around 15 minutes tonight ( If I were him I'd hire guards everyone wanted a chance to try it! ).
First off, the thing is tough. If you're giving it to a kid in a third world country it had better be!
The screen is great. This is not something that will damage developing eyesight.
I've got thin hands and long thin fingers so the keyboard was manageable but, truth, it's child sized.
Word processing?
Basic and solid.
Arrgghh, my time was up.
This laptop can certainly do the job it needs to and then some.
How about a version for grown ups?
These guys could teach Panasonic (Toughbooks) a few things.
