I'm not familiar with what's good these days in terms of projectors.
I've got a Sony VPL-PX31 projectors that I'd like to replace. The bulbs cost about $500 each. I was thinking that since the bulbs a few hundred dollars short of buying a projector outright, I might be able to get a new projector that takes less expensive bulbs.
One catch may be that the connection I utilize use the 5-line component RGB jacks as shown on the bottom row here: http://www.mcbia.com/auction/randy/Sony-VPL-PX31-2.jpg
I do, however, have a 5-line component to VGA connector I could probably use, so I don't think having the 5-line component RGB would be entirely necessary, unless there's some reason why I shouldn't do that.
