I have a Hauppage WINTV PVR 150 MCE. (Using with Vista Ultimate)
I just switched from regular cable to a digital set top box into my cpu.
HBO and etc, are jacked up.
I read on Microsoft's website you have to have a "CableCard" from Time Warner Cable,
and a TV Tuner card that accepts CableCards.
Is this true? I also saw a post here from last year that says this doesn't exist yet?
If anyone knows, can you please recommend a card.
I heard things about the 1600 as a hybrid card, but no details regarding this CableCard thing?
Thanks!
Dave

Here's the story about digital cable cards and Windows : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/mediacenter/cablecard.mspx

I had seen that webpage, however, I have not been able to find a TV Tuner card that says anything about being CableCard compatible. Does anyone know of a specific card/model that takes the card? I have only found the hybrid cards that have analog and digital, but the Microsoft site seems to imply that card may not pick up ALL digital channels without the CableCard? Thanks!

it looks like the cable card is for HD channels and premium channels like HBO.
