I am using dvd shink to encrypt and store dvd movies to my hard drive. After storing them to my hard drive the only thing I am able to play them back with is the shrink program. they are stored as audio.ts and video.ts files. I have tryed saving them as iso with no success. When I put the original dvd into the drive it plays the movie fine. (through media player, or media center, or power to go, or dvd suite) but I am not able to play the saved videos from the hard drive with those same programs. please help.
See if this helps:

What I would do is choose to save the ISO, then install daemon tools - virtual drive software that will allow you to 'mount' the .iso image and play it back with any software as if it were a phyiscal DVD.
For the existing files you've got, VLC player has the ability to play a directory - just point it to the video.ts folder and it will play back as a full disc. It's free to download but technically requires a small paid-for registration to make the DVD playback codec legal to use in most countries.

ski, I downloaded your decoder. ... thanks but no luck. The end gaol is to be able to play my saved dvd's/videos from windows media center. as of right now, if i click on the folder from windows media center, it says no video files were found. but if I look in windows explorer all of the ".ts" files are there.
freak, if I download that software, is it going to allow me to play the videos from media center?
also, I noticed that if I use any of my dvd making programs to try to import the videos from my hard drive. the programs say "no items matched your search" are they in the right format?
note: if i burn these files from my hard drive to a dvd using "power to go", they play in a regular dvd player or on my computers dvd drive perfectly.

First, please edit your posts if you want to add something - i merged the four you created together! thanks.
VLC is a player in its own right. Daemon Tools, on the other hand, creates a virtual drive. All you have to do is mount the ISO image that DVD Shrink can create onto that drive, and you should be able to play it through Media Center as a regular DVD.

sorry about all of the post. I downloaded the daemon tools. and I am trying it now. I expect it to work. thanks for the help. however, what about my home movies? how do I get them into ".iso" format.
I can now get the movies to play by opening them through deamon but they wont play on any other player.
they will play with my dvd play through media player but I still cant play them from video library.
