hello all i built my first pc with the help of this forum and im ready to build my second one and retire this one to my wife:)

i have a 8800 gts graphic card and the rest of the stuff i need. do i need to put a floppy in it
for flashing the bios or is it native with this board? my first pc is amd with a nforce board and i didnt have to flash it. intel is all new to me so was just wondering. thanks for your time and great job you guy's do here helping others this forum is a place i visit every day.

For another $20, you could have a much faster processor that will overclock like a mother in the future.
The rest of your build looks pretty solid.

Out of curiosity, did you get a G92 8800gts?

build looks good. I probably would have gone with Corsair ram but have heard good thins about g.skill so you should be fine.

nah i got my 8800 gts when they first came out. but it's ok it runs all my games on high to ultra high with most eye candy on:) ill be buying different one this summer it will do for now.

about the flashing bios thing do i need to get a floppy or am i gunna be alright?

My P5K with a 6750 loaded right up. I think you are pretty safe with that cpu. When the E8400 first came out I expect some P5K boards might have needed a bios upgrade for the 45nm chips but that has probably been taken care of by now.

I still dont think you need a floppy, I think you can flash with a USB memory stick, although I have not had to ever try it.
