Hi gang
I have this ABIT MOBO its a IS7-E. I don't have the boot up disc or the drivers for it. I went to the site and downloaded the drivers and it will not boot from this. Do I need a separate boot up disc?
Thanx .....Gunny

What exactly are you trying to do? You'lll need windows loaded to load any kind of drivers, so why do you want to boot from the disk you loaded the drivers for that MOBO on? Use your windows disk to boot up and load windows on your harddrive for that board, then load drivers.

I was curious also cause I didn't think you were new to building your own PC's, and I almost didn't reply cause I didn't want to offend you but hey we all have our moments don't we? What do you mean by back panel? Are you looking for the metal plate that has the cutouts for the I/O ports that goes in that back side of the case?

Hi Kt
Yes that is the panel I am looking for. I found the Abit site, right here in Fremont Ca. close by, and can you guess they do not have an e-mail address you can get to ask them a question, all they have is a fax # and a direct call #. I though every one had a e-mail address. ha ha
So I faxed them so I will see what I can find out there, do you have any other suggestions.? I put an ad on Craigslist for one and have not received any bites on that.
You are right KT we all have those momments, some more often then should be. ha ha ha
Thanx...Gunny....:)

I've had my best luck finding one of those at a local shop. Is that board not standard ATX?

Ya you are probably right. I have several different ones but none to fit this board. It is a reg ATX board. Instead of having the audio plugs down at the bottom like most it has a bunch of USB ports there. And along with the Eathernet port, then on top of that is the audio ports. It has a couple of Optical ports too. Still have not heard back from Abit.
Thanx.......Gunny

Try ebay, you will usually have some luck finding I/O Panels there.
