Hd drive enclosure plus pata drive???

Ok i bought an enclosure and put a internal seagate in the external. I formatted the drive while still in the pc. There is a master jumper on my primary internal but the external doesn't show up ? any thoughts?

More information may be needed here. You formatted a drive in your pc, but have now moved it into an external enclosure? What type of enclosure, and what connection does it use? And you are saying the external does not show up in Windows? Any details you can add will be helpful.

yes i formatted it in my pc. it's in a rocketfish usb2.0 enclosure and it's not showing up as a drive but windows does detect the new usb 2.0 connection i just can't get it to show as a hard drive

Go to disk management and see if it shows there. You may need to assign it a drive letter.

Are there any drivers that came with the enclosure? If so, install them.

it just comes with a one-touch backup software

What exact enclosure and drive did you get and how did you jumper the drive?
