It would appear that you have everything... Though it also appears you're pretty well off when it comes to money, so why don't you get a 45nm quad-core? You don't have to if you don't want to ... lol ... I'm just wondering.

Oh, and you might need another sata cable, if the mobo only comes with one.

Okay thanks, I'll grab another cable. And yeah, I would have gotten a quad-core but I've been hearing alot of bad stuff about those and playing video games.

I've never played on one myself though.

Hmmm.... For better gaming quality, should I go with a

1. Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 Kentsfield 2.66GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor

Or a,

2. Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor

For a gaming oriented machine, go for the E8400. Both will get the job done, but the E8400 offers a great performance for the price when it comes to games.

Yeah, I heard when it comes to gaming, a higher GHZ dual-core is better than a lower GHZ quad-core. Plus, the 45nm cores run cooler and more energy-efficiently. :)

Good lord DDR3 is freakin expensive.

If you want to save some money, go with a DDR2 platform and pick up a Q9450 or E8500. You won't ever be able to upgrade that system's processor to more than a Q9850, so DDR3 isn't really worth it unless you have gobs of money to spend/waste.

No sense at all going DDR3, save yourself some money and stick to DDR2 800.

Any Core 2 Duo Processor will own any game out there as long as you have the right video card.
The card you chose is top notch. Dual Core are still faster for gaming than Quads dollar for dollar.
