Newly built system, while installing random software, windows shut down about 2 hours into operation. Computer would not reboot, no beeps. DVD Drive light would loop starting, but never spin the disc. Same action when disc was removed. Had this problem with prior DVD drive, bought new one and pc booted up. Disconnected drive from mobo, still got no startup. Moved graphics card from blue PCI E slot to Black one, and on second power on i got 1 short beep, then two short ones in succession. XP started up and is running fine, 1 hour so far. boot up in BIOS is set to boot from hard drive. Where is my problem coming from?

My first thought is to look at the PSU. Raidmax are not a quailty PSU.

PSU good, turned out to be bad graphics card and a faulty PCI E slot!

Glade you figured it out, but if you want that pc to last, then it is important that you buy a psu from a quality vendor look here. http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=131195
